Memory Box
Program
As part of our ongoing commitment to the community Paintin’ Place is very involved in the Memory Box Program.
The Memory Box Program was developed to supply participating
hospitals with small painted boxes in which to place the personal effects of
babies who have passed away in the hospital. These memory boxes become
precious keepsakes for grieving parents. The staff and students of
Paintin’ Place get together on a regular basis to paint the donated boxes
with loving care.
Wendy Steeves, the owner of Paintin’ Place, donates all the paint, her studio, supplies and some of the boxes for this valuable program. Paintin’ Place is also a drop off point for other decorative painters who may paint boxes on their own.
For those who wish to contribute to this worthwhile program,
but do not want to paint boxes we accept donations that enable us to purchase
extra boxes to keep the program going.
In each session, a day is assigned for the painting of the
Memory Boxes. Please check our Class Schedule for dates.

Many
Thanks!

Manager, Tracy Ronaghan of Curves was more than pleased when
approached by Gloria Dryhorub, one of the students of Paintin’ Place to support
this worthwhile cause. Paintin’ Place donated all surfaces and Gloria Dryhorub,
Patricia Malone and Donna Malone donated their time to paint them. Three
painted designs were displayed at Curves and tickets were available for purchase
from the Curves staff.

When all was said and done the ladies of Curves had raised
substantial funds towards the purchase of more memory
boxes.
Thanks to Tracy, her staff and all the members of Curves for
their time and support.
Thanks also to Gloria, Patricia and Donna for their
contribution.
